Wow, the holidays went by so quickly. We had a great time. It began with the arrival of Gwen on December 2nd. Karyn’s Mom (Gramma) spent the second week of December with us, followed by Dave’s sister and parents. We’ve spent the last week alone and today get back into our regular routine. Except today is Karyn’s birthday, so we have one last hurrah! Happy birthday Karyn/Mommy!
Here is a card that Dave and the girls made this week. Other photos from the holidays are posted on our Flickr profile.

Dave finally got a chance to get a photo with Gwen.
Happy birthday Gwen! Our third daughter arrived on December 2, 2008 at 7:13 p.m., weighing 6 pounds 15 ounces. Thanks to the staff at New York Methodist Hospital, and our friend Jess, the midwife we wish we’d hired.
Everyone is doing very well. If you want to reach Gwen, she can be reached via email.
Considering what Dave does for a living, we don’t update our blog as often as we should. I have to confess that this is mostly my problem. While I’m the one with more spare time, I have a strange neurosis when it comes to sharing my thoughts in written form. I’ve always loved writing, but even when I did it as a career, I hoarded my pieces until the last possible minute, unable to let them be read by others for fear that they weren’t perfect enough, or witty enough, or grammatically correct. Due to this craziness, so many bloggable moments pass us by without being shared with you. So, I thought I’d share a few of our most recent adventures with you today.
Ciao for now.
A few weeks ago, we received an email from Schmap, a leading publisher of travel guides. They had found a photo on Flickr that I took while stranded in Denver on St. Patrick’s Day and asked to include it in consideration for their Denver Guide. My photo made the cut and is featured on the Schmap Denver St. Patrick’s Day page.
I had been there on business speaking at a client convention. The weather was beautiful in Denver, but a huge storm hit the east coast, shutting down most airports on the seaboard. I decided to make the most of my fate. I walked for miles around Denver on the Friday afternoon. On Saturday, I found time to take in the popular St. Patrick’s Day parade. I took the shot standing at the back of the crowd with my arm way above the crowd. Snap… Schmap.
Denver is a great city and I hope to return for another visit some day.
